One pot, one landscape.
The lid features a border of scrolling lotus patterns that unfurl outward, set against a turquoise base with gold tracing and kingfisher-blue accents, creating a landscape that shifts in depth from distance to foreground. The pot body is spherical—plump but not bloated—with the rim subtly divided into lotus petals that fit perfectly in the palm. Named "Wei Jing" (Only Scenery), the scenery is indeed contained within the pot: where the lotus petals overlap, there is layered verdure; where the gold is traced, there is flowing light. A single pot captures the essence of all four seasons. The raw, living-water purple clay is a signature material of Ge Lai's workshop; as part of the purple clay lineage, its texture is dense and fine, its nature stable, firing into a deep, purplish brown that develops a warm, lustrous glow with daily use. Born into the "Ge Tao" family, Ge Lai apprenticed under his father, Ge Zhenghao, and possesses an expert understanding of clay. Only quality clay could serve as the foundation for such fine craftsmanship, providing the perfect canvas for the gold-traced lotus patterns.
Best for: Pu-erh, dark teas, and fermented teas, especially when steeped for longer durations.
Suitable for: Those who appreciate exquisite ornamentation and value the fundamental quality of the clay.
